HISTORY

Audi France created the TT Le Mans specifically for the French market following Audi’s consecutive overall victories at Le Mans in 2000 and 2001. Its specification combined the 225 hp TT Roadster quattro with equipment and finishes sourced from quattro GmbH.

The special gray exterior was intended to reference the winning No. 1 Audi R8, while the contrasting red Recaro leather interior recalled the race car’s cockpit. The color specification appears to be identical to the silver and red configuration of the North American TT ALMS Edition and, though unconfirmed, that would make the exterior color Avus Silver.

Each of the 20 cars was individually identified by an engraved aluminum glovebox lock.

For the inaugural Le Mans Classic in 2002, Audi France provided TT Le Mans 12/20 for display alongside a Le Mans-winning Audi R8. The car was also driven around the roads surrounding the circuit and participated in a parade on the full Circuit de la Sarthe.

All 20 examples were sold and the TT Le Mans remains one of the rarest market-specific special editions of the first-generation Audi TT.
