OVERVIEW

Audi A4 quattro Super Touring chassis ST06 contributed to championship-winning campaigns in Italy and Belgium. Built by Audi Sport in 1995, it served as Emanuele Pirro’s primary Italian Superturismo car before moving to the Belgian VW Audi Club.

Its documented drivers include Pirro, Jean-François Hemroulle, Vincent Vosse, Terry Moss and Christophe Dechavanne. The register traces its competition history through Belgian Procar in 1996 and 1997 and a French Supertourisme appearance at Magny-Cours in October 1997.

1995 ITALIAN SUPERTURISMO CHAMPIONSHIP

Pirro raced ST06 as number 1 for Audi Sport Italia, recording ten victories in its 18 documented races. Double wins at Binetto, Imola and the August Misano meeting accounted for six of those victories.

The chassis finished every listed race, reaching the podium 15 times and never placing lower than fifth. Pirro switched to spare chassis ST03 for the Vallelunga finale, so those final two races belong to a separate chassis record.

1996 BELGIAN PROCAR CHAMPIONSHIP

ST06 moved to the Belgian VW Audi Club, where Hemroulle raced it as number 14 during the first six meetings. Its five credited victories included both Chimay races, contributing to his Division 1 championship campaign.

Vosse took over ST06 as number 19 for the final two meetings at Spa-Francorchamps. He won the opening race of the finale and finished second in the other, bringing ST06’s credited 1996 total to six victories. Hemroulle continued in another A4 whose chassis identity is not established by the cited record.

1997 BELGIAN PROCAR CAMPAIGN

Hemroulle returned to ST06 as number 1 in 1997. The register documents five victories with him, including a double at Zolder and wins at Spa-Francorchamps, Zandvoort and Chimay.

Terry Moss took over for the second race at the June Spa meeting and won. Dechavanne subsequently drove ST06 as number 10 at the September Spa finale, finishing seventh and eighth. The register does not assign the intervening September Zolder meeting to this chassis.

SOURCES AND NOTES

  • Chassis history and results: Audi A4 ST06 — Super Touring Register.
  • Italian driver record: Emanuele Pirro — Super Touring Register.
  • Belgian season context: 1996 Belgian Procar Championship — Wikipedia.
  • Italian substitution: Pirro used ST03 at the 1995 Vallelunga finale; those results are excluded from ST06’s table.
  • Belgian driver change: Vosse took over ST06 for the final two 1996 meetings. Hemroulle’s remaining results should not be assigned to this chassis.
  • Classification differences: Belgian race classifications follow the register and may differ from Wikipedia’s championship-scoring positions.
  • 1997 coverage: No September Zolder results are listed for ST06. Their omission is treated as a gap in chassis attribution.
  • French results: Both Magny-Cours victories reproduce the register’s classifications; no championship title or overall season position is inferred.
  • Correction to the earlier brief: The register lists Dechavanne winning both Magny-Cours races, rather than only the opening race.
