While remembered as the prototype that launched one of the world's most respected hypercar manufacturers, it also represents one of the earliest examples of a boutique supercar built around an Audi production engine.
Audi A4 Super Touring Chassis ST22 won championships with both Emanuele Pirro and Mattias Ekström. Built by Audi Sport in 1996, it subsequently raced in Spain, Macau and Sweden.
