AUDI PARTICIPATION

Audi has maintained a continuous presence at Auto Guangzhou as part of its long-term commitment to the Chinese market. The event serves as a major venue for the brand to highlight new products, collaborative ventures with its partners FAW and SAIC, and advancements in electrification and digital mobility. In recent years, Audi has used the show to emphasize its dual-brand and dual-partner strategy: the global Audi brand produced with FAW, and the China-exclusive AUDI brand developed jointly with SAIC.

Audi’s exhibits at Auto Guangzhou typically include production vehicles tailored specifically for China, early previews of upcoming models, and concept vehicles demonstrating design and technology direction. The event also provides a public stage for the company’s announcements regarding local manufacturing, platform strategy, and software partnerships within the Chinese ecosystem.

2025 EDITION

The 2025 Auto Guangzhou, held from November 21 to 30, showcased more than 1,000 vehicles from over 100 international and Chinese manufacturers. Audi’s presence was among the most prominent, reflecting the brand’s largest product initiative in China to date.

A key highlight was the world premiere of the AUDI E SUV concept, a large, all-electric SUV previewing the second model of the AUDI sub-brand. Positioned as a flagship within the AUDI lineup, the concept underscored the brand’s commitment to developing China-specific electric vehicles using the jointly created Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP).

Audi also exhibited several new localized models from its partnership with FAW, including the Audi A6L e-tron, Q6L e-tron, and Q6L Sportback e-tron. These vehicles represent the first wave of PPE-based (Premium Platform Electric) models produced in China and are central to Audi’s plan to maintain its position in both the combustion-engine and electric segments of the premium market.

2025 IMPORTANCE FOR AUDI

Auto Guangzhou plays a crucial role in Audi’s communication and product strategy in China. The region’s rapid growth in premium EV demand, combined with Guangzhou and Shenzhen’s prominence as technology and mobility centers, makes the show a valuable venue for showcasing digital innovations, driver-assistance systems, and market-specific software developments.

The event also supports Audi’s long-term goal of expanding its presence in China through deepened local development, enhanced cooperation with Chinese tech partners, and continued investment in EV production capacity.
