Audi Launches Base e-tron GT quattro
You may have noted following the mid-lifecycle freshening of the e-tron GT range that Audi replaced the base e-tron GT model with the S e-tron GT to fit in underneath the RS e-tron GT. What they didn’t share then, but make more sense now, is the reveal of a model below the S e-tron GT. No, it still won’t be called the “e-tron GT”, but is now known as the e-tron GT quattro. It likely won’t be coming to North America.
In Europe, this new base model is set to sell at a base price of 108,900 Euros. It will feature 430 kW peak power that should still have it see 0-62 mph in 4 seconds, be capable of 320 kW charging and boast a range of 386 miles… though figure that’s the European range formula and is aided by a total weight over 66 lbs. lighter than the e-tron S.
Interestingly, there appears to be no rear-wheel driver version just yet as there is with the Taycan. Maybe there’s still hope for the simple “e-tron GT” nomenclature after all.
A6 Plug-in Hybrid Revealed
With the new A6 barely out, Audi is already expanding the lineup through the addition of the new A6 e-hybrid quattro – each boasting up to 65 miles of full-electric range. These new hybrids boast increased performance over the older C8-generation hybrids thanks to a new high-voltage battery with greater capacity, plus improved energy recuperation and hybrid management.
There will be a 2.0 TFSI-based version with combined 270 kW and 500 Nm of torque, boasting 0-62 mph in 5.3 seconds. A top-of-the-line model with 270 kW system output will come standard with all-wheel steering, sport suspension, S line equipment and red brake calipers.
There are no plans for this model (yet) in the USA or Canada. Even if you don’t live in Europe or other markets where this particular model will show up, this hardware is an interesting given the next-generation internal-combustion RS 6 will likely use some of the components seen here.

Audi museum mobile Celebrates 25 Year Anniversary
The museum mobile, Audi’s crown jewel museum at the brand’s Ingolstadt headquarters, will celebrate its 25th birthday this year. In celebration, Audi AG invites guests to share in the celebration on May 18 as part of International Museum Day.
There, Audi Tradition will present a selection of vehicles also celebrating anniversaries on the Audi Forum Ingolstadt piazza between 10AM and 4PM local time, with in-detail presentations between 11 AM And 2PM.
Inside, there will be self-guided tours through the current special exhibition “Audi R8 – Generations of Performance” and creative workshops. Outside, further activities will include a go-kart course on the piazza.
Construction on the Audi museum mobile was completed on December 15, 2000. Even after 25 years of operation, the architecture of the museum continues to impress guests, including the glass facade with view of the surrounding Audi Forum Ingolstadt, or the trademark paternoster with literally and figuratively rotating collection of display cars. Similarly rotating themed exhibits are also a recurring highlight, keeping things fresh for return guests. Each year, around 120,000 guests visit the museum in order to learn more about Audi history.

New Euro Market Base e-tron GT quattro Gives Audi exclusive Opportunity to Share Killer Spec
Audi AG showed off their new e-tron GT quattro this week. With likely no plans for American sale, the car is an interesting spec fitting in below the S e-tron GT in the brand’s fine-tuning of the e-tron GT range since the facelift was released. More importantly, it gave Audi the opportunity to show off some Audi exclusive specs.
For Audi exclusive watchers, that’s bit of a hack worth watching. On the Audi AG website, each model sub-page tends to get its own Audi exclusive photo set. Click on the e-tron GT range (S, RS, RS performance and now quattro) and you get a different spec.
In the case of the e-tron GT quattro, the spec is Cumulus Blue exterior paint. Inside, there’s Black Fine Napa Leather with contrast stitching and leather segmentation in Diamond Silver. It’s most definitely a handsome look.

Five Audi Models Join IIHS & Consumer Reports Vehicles for Teens List
Audi collected several new accolades pertaining to the brand’s rich mix of offerings for young drivers. The Audi Q4 e-tron, A3, A6, Q3 and Q5 all joined the updated Vehicles for Teens List maintained by the International Institute for Highway Safety and Consumer Reports Magazine. The list prioritizes vehicle safety while also considering budget.
This particular mix of Audi models were also praised for their standard stability control and other safety features that are particularly valuable to newer drivers. The Audi Q4 -tron, in particular, is the only EV to earn a spot in the Best Choices for midsize SUVS and is one of just three EVs on the list of of 122 used vehicles included. MORE INFORMATION
Audi Q6 e-tron Earns IIHS 2025 TOP SAFETY PICK+ Award
The Audi Q6 e-tron has been on the market for just a few months and it’s already picked up a significant safety award with a top rating across all required metrics for the 2025 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award given out by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS). Notably, the latest testing at the IIHS focuses on stricter criteria for second-row occupants during moderate-overlap front collision testing. The 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron earned the highest rating offered by the IIHS on their new test.

Audi S1 Hoonitron and Audi RS 6 GT Avant to Headline Prestige Auto Show in Beaune France
Audi France joins partner BYmyCAR Dijon to present the brand at the Prestige Auto Show in Beaune France from May 16-18. Headlining the event will be a version of the S1 Hoonitron in the earlier white livery similar to the car seen in the first Electrikhana film, matching perfectly in an Audi RS 6 GT Avant in Arkona White with heritage stripe livery.
