Rund 200 Oldtimer machen bei der Rallye „ADAC Heidelberg Historic“ mit einer Durchfahrt Station auf der Piazza vor dem Audi Forum Neckarsulm.

Heidelberg Historic Returns to Audi Forum Neckarsulm with 200 Classic Cars and a Tribute to the R8

One of Germany’s most established historic motoring events will once again make a stop at the Audi Forum Neckarsulm this summer. The ADAC Heidelberg Historic rally is scheduled to pass through the Audi Forum Neckarsulm on July 11, bringing approximately 200 classic vehicles to the Piazza in front of the visitor center.

The annual rally, which begins at the Technik Museum Sinsheim and winds through the surrounding region, has long enjoyed support from Audi Tradition. For 2026, Audi is using the event to celebrate a milestone of its own: the 50th anniversary of the five-cylinder engine.

Representing that legacy will be two significant vehicles from Audi Tradition’s collection. The first is a second-generation Audi 100, notable as the first model wearing the four rings to offer a five-cylinder engine. Joining it will be the iconic Audi quattro, the all-wheel-drive coupe that helped redefine both rallying and Audi’s identity during the 1980s.

Visitors can watch the rally participants arrive and pass through the Piazza between approximately 1:20 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Throughout the afternoon, a commentator will provide background on the cars and their drivers as they make their way through the transit stage.

Ausstellung Grand Prix Ikonen im Audi Forum

Beyond the rally itself, Audi Forum Neckarsulm is using the occasion to showcase two exhibitions that bridge the brand’s past and present. The special exhibition “Generations of Performance” will be open to visitors for the final time during the Heidelberg Historic weekend. The display traces the evolution of the Audi R8 from its motorsport origins through the concept phase and into production, offering a retrospective on one of the brand’s most influential performance cars.

Motorsport enthusiasts will also find a connection to Audi’s future. Artist Uli Ehret’s “Grand Prix Icons” exhibition features a collection of works celebrating Formula 1 history, including a centerpiece painting of the Audi R26, the car currently competing in the brand’s inaugural Formula 1 season. The exhibition spans more than seven decades of Grand Prix racing and includes both original works and large-format prints, some signed by notable drivers.

Admission to the event and exhibitions is free, with the Audi Forum open from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Guests can also visit the nearby Nuvolari restaurant throughout the day, making the Neckarsulm stop an appealing destination for enthusiasts following the Heidelberg Historic route.
