Jon Olsson Teases New Widbody Audi RS 6 Avant

Former X-gamer plus current Youtuber, influencer and entrepreneur Jon Olsson is known for his outlandish cars often entered into road rallies. And while he’s had a mix of them over the years, an underlying theme is certainly his love for the RS 6 Avant. In fact, he’s just teased his latest and it looks pretty spectacular.

Here’s the original post Jon made to Instagram

Instagram will load in the frontend.

In the post, Olsson shared that he’s again referring to this next widebody RS 6 as an “RS 6 DTM”. That wouldn’t be the first time, and the bodywork certainly harks the bulbous fenders of the latter RS 5 DTM racecars before that series went GT3 just a few years ago.

The aforementioned RS 5 DTM was then Audi’s current racecar at a time when Olsson was creating his first widebody RS 6 build. That car would later be stolen and burnt to the ground, meeting a sad end fare too soon.

This new car, attributed to Olsson’s wheel firm Innominate (@innominate_unspecified) that began by building F1-style turbo fan wheels for modern applications and that Olsson has fitted to previous builds including a standard RS 6 Avant (“narrow body”?) and Lamborghini Urus.

This time, the turbofan design known as IN2 appears to have evolved to fit the body kit said to be 16 cm wider than the already big-footprinted RS 6. Said bodywork is constructed of carbon fiber, allowing him to fit new 23-inch diameter wheels on the car.

Under the hood is tuning from Stertman Motorsport (@stertmanmotorsport), boosted to 1,000 horsepower according to the post.

Sidenote: It’s weird. These photos grabbed my attention when TheDrive posted images of the non-widebody version of the RS 6 on Monday. And while it looks great, I remember covering this car for Audi Club North America on their blog back in February of 2024 when it first came out, with those Innominate wheels really grabbing attention due to the then more recent announcement of Audi also joining F1. Clicking over to Olsson’s Instagram, I found this more recent car, but even that was originally posted by Jon back in November. It just goes to show how it’s easy to miss something this spectacular thorough all the noise on the internet.

Back in November, Olsson shared images of the widebody car, renderings by @mr.simonsson. So did Mr. Simonsson. Near as we can tell, no actual photos have yet to be shown of the car. When they do surface, I’ll make sure they also run here.
