Audi Club North America is asking enthusiasts to take part in a short survey that could help bring Audi Tradition parts to the U.S. market. The results will be shared directly with Audi Tradition, Audi AG’s heritage division responsible for supporting vintage and classic models.
THE CHALLENGE IN AMERICA
Audi Tradition has long been a go-to source for owners in markets like Europe and even Canada, supplying everything from pre-war Auto Union spares to ur quattro body panels and even components for more modern models like the B7 RS 4. But in the U.S., access has been spotty at best. For years, parts were only available through select dealers, a process complicated by contractual obligations and distribution rules. Eventually, the program is believed to have stopped altogether for the U.S., leaving American owners of vintage Audi models to hunt parts abroad or rely on aftermarket solutions.
WHY THIS MATTERS
With nearly every Audi older than ten years eligible for support through Audi Tradition, the need is wide-ranging. Whether it’s a rare IMSA-era quattro, a 5000 turbo sedan, or even newer RS models, owners have often faced long waits and high costs to source authentic parts. A sustainable program in the U.S. would make it easier to preserve the cars that built Audi’s reputation here in North America.
A THANK-YOU FOR YOUR TIME FROM ACNA
Audi Club suggests the survey takes just five to ten minutes to complete, and as a thank-you, they’re offering participants will be entered into a monthly raffle through the end of the year. Prizes include an original IMSA GTO poster, an RS2 enamel pin, and a set of decals ranging from B5 A4 graphics to a Michèle Mouton Sport quattro S1 tribute.
LOOKING AHEAD
While the survey doesn’t guarantee the immediate return of Audi Tradition parts to the U.S., it’s a suggestion that at least the brand is listening. For enthusiasts who have been calling for better heritage support, this may be the first real step toward the kind of parts pipeline that European owners already enjoy.
