Audi has introduced a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) adapter for the new A2 e-tron, allowing owners to power external devices through the car’s charging port. All A2 e-tron versions come prepared for V2L use, and devices can also be connected through a power outlet in the luggage compartment.
The adapter plugs into the A2 e-tron’s exterior charging port and accepts European Type F, C and L plugs. It operates at 220–240 volts and up to 16 amps. Audi lists e-bikes, laptops and camping equipment among the potential uses. Charging begins when a device is plugged in, while plug detection, touch protection and a thermal cutoff are intended to prevent unsafe operation.
The accessory is available to order now from Audi dealers in the Netherlands under part number 89A054412. Audi lists a temporary promotional price of €180; individual dealers may set their own prices. The Dutch announcement does not specify pricing or availability for other markets.
