This isn’t the first time we’ve seen RS Q5 Sportback test mules. Credit for sighting the first goes to @Wilcoblok who snapped one as far back as November 2025. Today, Wilco has another first in snagging a beige mule of the RS Q5 Sportback caught at the Nürburgring.
Check out our earlier stories on the RS Q5 if you want to stay fully abreast, but here’s the quick synopsis.
We don’t know official details on the RS Q5 just yet, but it’s a very safe assumption that it’ll effectively mirror the drivetrain of the already on the market Audi RS 5. That’d be the 2.9-liter biturbo paired with hybrid all-wheel drive.

It’s another safe bet that the RS Q5 will make it to North America given all Q5 variants are built at Audi’s factory in San Jose Chiapa Mexico and because the Q5 is the best-selling Audi in North America.
Beyond that, we can’t close out this story without suggesting you go ahead and give @Wilcoblok a follow over on Instagram. He’s a regular when it comes to first-time sightings of upcoming Audi models.
