H&R Adds Lowering Springs for Latest Audi Q3 (type FJ)

H&R Germany has released a new range of lowering springs for the latest Audi Q3 lineup, covering multiple engine variants and configurations from the 2025 model year onward. The look is more aggressively low and, when paired with a slightly more aggressive wheel fitment, seems to transform the presence of the new Q3 considerably.

The kits are designed to reduce ride height by approximately 30 mm (1.2 inches) at the front and 35 mm (1.4 inches) at the rear, with applications spanning front- and all-wheel-drive models, including Sportback and plug-in hybrid variants.

FOCUS ON STANCE & HANDLING

As with most H&R spring upgrades, the goal is to improve both appearance and on-road dynamics. Lowering the Q3’s center of gravity is intended to deliver more direct steering response and reduced body roll, particularly during cornering and quick transitions.

While crossovers in this segment prioritize versatility, H&R positions the Q3 as a primarily road-focused vehicle. The reduced ride height targets a more planted stance without significantly compromising usability, with ground clearance remaining suitable for everyday driving.

Ride comfort is described as compatible with long-distance use, and payload capacity is unchanged.

FITMENT ACROSS THE EUROPEAN RANGE

H&R’s spring offerings cover a broad range of Q3 configurations:

  • 2.0 TDI / TSI (AWD, including Sportback and PHEV)
  • 2.0 TDI (FWD, non-PHEV)
  • 1.5 e-Hybrid (PHEV, FWD)
  • 1.5 TFSI (FWD, non-PHEV)

All versions maintain similar lowering figures, with model-specific part numbers assigned to each drivetrain and engine combination.

The kits are also compatible with factory sport suspension and adaptive damping systems.

H&R notes that the suspension upgrades can be reversed without permanent modification, a factor for leased vehicles or short-term ownership. As with other H&R products, the springs are manufactured in Germany and supplied with TÜV certification documentation.

For owners looking to sharpen the Q3’s road manners and improve its visual stance without moving to a full coilover setup, the spring kit represents a relatively straightforward upgrade within the existing suspension architecture.

WHAT ABOUT NORTH AMERICA?

It’s important to note that H&R North America manages its own business and at times this even affects suspension specs that may be tailored for market-specific needs. This news came specifically from H&R Deutschland and so applies to Europe first and foremost. Questions regarding North American availability should be directed to the H&R North America.
