Formula 1 heads to northern Italy this weekend for one of the championship’s most historic stops, the Italian Grand Prix at Autodromo Nazionale Monza. Located in the royal park of Monza, just northeast of Milan in Lombardy, the circuit has hosted the Italian Grand Prix in every Formula 1 season but one since the championship began in 1950. Nicknamed the “Temple of Speed,” the 5.793-kilometer circuit remains defined by long straights, heavy braking zones and some of the highest sustained speeds on the calendar, with the 2026 regulations adding a new challenge as teams balance outright performance with energy deployment and relatively limited opportunities for recovery around the lap.
Audi Revolut F1 Team arrives at Monza with considerably more momentum than it carried into the European summer. Nico Hülkenberg’s eighth-place finish at Zandvoort extended Audi’s points-scoring streak to four consecutive Grands Prix, lifting the team to 16 points and eighth in the Constructors’ Championship. Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto have shared those recent scoring duties, while three Q3 appearances across the past three race weekends suggest the R26 has also become a more consistent presence toward the front of the midfield. Monza presents a very different test, and Racing Director Allan McNish has cautioned that its particular layout could make extending the streak difficult, but Audi nevertheless enters its first Italian Grand Prix as a Formula 1 constructor with increasingly tangible evidence that its maiden season is beginning to gather momentum.

Audi Revolut F1 Team heads to Monza following a strong performance in the Netherlands, where the team showed good pace and scored points for the fourth consecutive race. The Italian Grand Prix will mark the start of the final European back-to-back of the season; at the Temple of Speed, the aim will be to carry the recent form into another strong weekend for the team.
Flying the flag for the Audi Driver Development Programme, Freddie Slater will also be back on track with Formula 3, arriving to Italy at the top of the championship standings with two rounds to go.
