Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Claims Double Podium in Swedish EV Endurance Challenge

The Audi A6 Sportback e-tron performance recorded a pair of podium finishes in the 2026 South Swedish Electric Car Championship (SECC), an endurance rally that runs the length of Sweden from Ystad to Haparanda. Audi Sweden’s factory entry finished second overall, while a privately entered A6 Sportback e-tron performance claimed third.

Audi Sweden’s team of Pontus Lamberg and Adam Nanne completed the route in 18 hours and 9 minutes, finishing just 1 minute and 45 seconds behind the winning Mercedes CLA 250+. A second Audi entry from Team Powtech, driven by Anders Ekesbo and Lars Ekström, completed the podium.

Competing in the event for the second consecutive year, Lamberg said the team again relied on the car’s navigation system to determine both the route and charging stops. That strategy allowed the team to drive from Ystad to Stockholm on a single charge, the longest opening stint of the event.

The Audi A6 Sportback e-tron performance used three DC fast-charging stops totaling 51 minutes during the rally. Audi Sweden reported total charging costs of 742 Swedish kronor, with Plug & Charge simplifying the charging process. The car is equipped with a 100 kWh battery pack (94.9 kWh net), supports DC fast charging at up to 270 kW, and carries a WLTP driving range of up to 770 kilometers (478 miles).

This year’s event took longer than the 2025 edition due to multiple road construction zones and sections controlled by pilot cars, increasing the overall driving time for all competitors.
