Audi exclusive RS-Designpaket Interiors for European RS Q8

With a general rotation of old-to-new happening within the Audi RS car portfolio, Audi product managers are faced with the challenge of keeping things fresh for models coming to end of lifecycle. The more optimistic position of color and trim nerds and the Audi exclusive-interested would perhaps call that an opportunity.

Take, for example, the Audi RS Q8. There’s no question it’s coming to end of lifecycle. Whether it’s to Audi enthusiasts seeking an RS Q-ship crossover or non-brand nerds looking for the more affordable cousin to the likes of the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga or even Porsche Cayenne, the RS Q8 has a lot to offer.

Now, as it’s in its latter lifecycle, it’s also got some interesting interior kit in the form of RS-designpakets – effectively, bold bi-color/tone interior options curated by Audi exclusive and available as standard options.

The next package is similar across the board. A mainly black RS Q8 interior gets matching deviated stitching, seatbelts, colored leather panels on the outer bolsters, trim around the edges of the floor mats and embroidered “RS” logos on seats and floor mats.

Effectively there are two option packages here. The first, RS-Designpaket Black/Silver fills the contrast positions listed above in a light grey – almost white. The second, RS-Designpaket Bicolor does the same with several colors you can choose from – Alaska Blue, Calendula Yellow, Iguana Green and Crimson Red.

Other elements included in the package include Dynamic black door trim inserts with silver “Audi exclusive” emblem, steering wheel rim in Alcantara with matching contrast stitching.

European market RS Q8 buyers can have either of these configurations for 9,300 Euros (at time of this writing).

Worth noting, similar kit has been available in the market as the RS Design Package. In the USA, for example, the package is offered in Red, Blue and Grey – though it’s cheaper at $4,200 US and doesn’t include some elements like the colored leather bolsters.

So, if you’re in a market where it’s not offered, can you still order it? That’s a good question for your Audi salesperson. Likely it could be piecemeal together via Audi exclusive even if the option package can’t be made available, though that would probably come at a premium. Your dealer will likely know better.
