Car & Driver Magazine’s Lightning Lap series from Virginia International Raceway (VIR) is legendary and this year the RS 3 (type 8Y), RS e-tron GT (type J1) and RS 6 Avant performance (C8) were included in the lineup. Honorable mention is the Volkswagen Golf R that is nearly identical to the Audi S3’s in drivetrain configuration.
