Last week this website ran intel on the new RS 5 (B10) stemming from an original piece from Autocar Magazine plus a petition made by an enthusiast asking Audi to bring the RS 5 Avant body style to the USA. We’re close now to the RS 5’s official reveal, which means that this intel is likely very accurate and also that further details and hints will drop more and more as we near the car’s arrival.
While some of these things like the petition aren’t necessarily related to the actual car, others are directly so. There is a spectrum of sources this website relies upon to be up-to-date and accurate in such matters, and since last week’s story, input is coming in from all directions. Here’s a rundown.

HYBRID CONFIRMATION LEAKED BY AUDI LINKED IN
Though we missed the actual post, now taken down, many Linked In users caught a post by Audi AG last week confirming the hybrid nature of the car.
The post by Audi shared over on CarBuzz read, “The new Audi RS 5 is nearing its debut and will be your first performance plug-in hybrid. Furthermore, we will unveil a new electric entry model. Stay tuned to our channels so you don’t miss any news.”
Presumably that entry-level model is the small car seen testing referred to as the “A2” or “Q2”. More on that in another story, but the relevance in this case is to the RS 5 and the fact that it’ll be hybrid. That’s been a rumor for a while now and the Autocar effectively confirmed it last week, but seeing it officially posted is relevant.
TRUSTED SOURCE SHARES RS 5 (B10) POWER FIGURES
Unlike a lot of what is being shared here, I can’t name my source on this bit of information. However, he’s reliable enough for me to assess him as extremely well-connected, in Europe and is kind enough to drop me a note about his take on stories of the day. According to him, the power output of the upcoming RS 5 (B10) is expected to be 639 bhp and 825 Nm of torque (608 lb-ft). If true, that makes the car more powerful than the outgoing RS 6/RS 7.

@WILCOBLOK & AUTOBLOG.SPIDERSWEB.PL SHARE AUDI NEDERLAND ATTRIBUTED RS 5 TEASER IMAGE
Another potentially errant and likely official teaser came allegedly via Audi Nederland in the form of this teaser image posted as a story on Instagram from the looks of it. From what we can tell, this story emanates from Autoblog.Spidersweb.PL and also shared by @Wilcoblok on Instagram.
While we can’t confirm the image first hand, it does look convincingly like the sort of silhouetted teaser Audi has done in the past for other new models being dropped. It’s notable that the car is an Avant, which isn’t expected to be offered in North America.

LEAKED IMAGES OF RS 5 (B10) REAR BUMPER
More teasing of what we can visually expect from the new RS 5 B10 comes from these images that appear to show the OEM rear bumper component posted by CarsinPixels on X. While we haven’t been able to determine if they are real, they certainly seem to match what we have seen in spy photos of near-complete RS 5 test mules.
If they’re accurate, and we believe they are, then it appears the somewhat central exhaust tips (seemingly Porsche 911 992 inspired) appear to be an integrated part of the bumper.
