Find of the Day: Ex-King Charles A6 allroad (C7.5) Headed to Auction

We’ve long known that the British royal family and Audi UK have long had a relationship. The English paparazzi has long nabbed shots of royals at the wheel of any given Audi, perhaps at its zenith when Princess Diana would be regularly seen in her Audi Cabriolet (B4). That tradition continues to this day, which means the occasional former cars associated with the monarchy will occasionally come to market. One such car, an Audi exclusive 2015 A6 allroad (C7.5) 3.0 TDI is set to go across the block offered by Iconic Auctioneers as as Lot #784 during this year’s Iconic Sale at Race Retro.

Used as a personal vehicle by His Majesty King Charles III between January 2015 and October 2016, the car combines allroad capability with documented provenance and a unique specification reflecting its Royal Household tenure.

The car shows approximately 115,000 miles on the odometer and remains in right-hand-drive specification with its original registration KR64 SYA. The green Avant has been maintained with a full service history from late 2016 onwards and retains its original Audi record book and detailed invoices. Royal Household service records from its time with Charles are not available, as is customary for vehicles used by the Crown.

Key features beyond the drivetrain include its Royal Household bespoke Olive Green exterior, a finish commissioned specifically for vehicles supplied to the Royal family. Inside, the cabin is equipped with walnut wood trim on the steering wheel and gear selector, soft-close doors, four-zone climate control with heated front and rear seats, double-glazed windows, rear window blinds and Bose surround sound.

Presented in a comprehensive specification with recent major service work, transmission service, bodywork correction, and specialist inspections completed, this allroad is offered with an estimate of £20,000–£30,000 at auction on 21 February 2026 at Iconic Auctioneers’ Race Retro sale. Its combination of Royal association, bespoke colour, documented upkeep and all-road versatility make it a distinct piece of contemporary provenance on the market.

Worth noting to interested parties outside the UK, the car is configured as right hand drive that could make it a challenge to own or operate in a left hand drive market like Europe or North America. Additionally, it’s a 2015 model. That makes it a bit too new for either Canada’s 15-year import limit or the American 25-year limit.
