AUDI, the new China-exclusive sister brand to Audi, has revealed the exterior of its second production model: the fully electric E7X. Following last month’s debut of the E SUV concept at Auto Guangzhou 2025, the production E7X now steps into the spotlight as a premium electric SUV designed explicitly for the Chinese market. The model will have its public premiere at Auto China 2026 in Beijing, running from April 24 to May 3.
Positioned as an SUV without compromises, the AUDI E7X aims to blend emotional appeal with everyday usability. “Its confident stance, sporty proportions and progressive design come together to create a perfect balance of emotion and everyday usability,” says Fermín Soneira, CEO of the cooperation project between Audi and SAIC. That approach is immediately visible in the E7X’s monolithic surfacing, upright front end and signature lighting. Digital Matrix LED headlights sit vertically in a black wraparound frame, paired with clean volumes and sharply sculpted wheel arches that convey presence and athleticism. With a length of 5,049 mm, width of 2,002 mm, height of 1,708 mm and a wheelbase of 3,060 mm, the E7X promises a spacious cabin packaged beneath sleek, modern proportions. Two powertrain options—300 kW and 500 kW—ensure the performance matches the visual intent.

The E7X is the second chapter in the AUDI brand story, following the E5 Sportback. Introduced in 2024 as a separate identity created for China, AUDI distinguishes itself by forgoing the classic four rings and instead using a capital-letter wordmark. The strategy targets additional customer groups in the world’s most competitive and tech-driven EV market, allowing Audi to broaden its reach without diluting the global brand.
Built on the jointly developed Advanced Digitized Platform, the E7X reflects a development process that pairs German engineering with Chinese digital capability. The result is a next-generation intelligent connected vehicle shaped by fast, collaborative development cycles. The SUV remains unmistakably Audi in its driving dynamics and material quality, yet its software experience and ecosystem integration are tailored specifically for China’s highly connected, app-driven mobility culture.
Set to launch in the first half of 2026, the AUDI E7X arrives as part of a strategic expansion for Ingolstadt’s AUDI sub-brand presence. For China’s rapidly evolving EV landscape, it offers a premium option built around local tastes and consumer demand.
