In mid-November, news broke over on BrickFanatics.com of a LEGO Audi F1 kit slated for March release. Now, we have official confirmation of an Audi F1 kit including a brick version of the Audi R26, though it’s different from what we thought it would be and potentially a whole other kit.
The kit we can now confirm, #60493, F1® Display Truck with Audi F1® Race Car, is part of the LEGO City line of kits. Not quite as detailed as the Speed Champions kits offered for every team on the grid last year and expected for Audi this year, LEGO City tends to be more playable and children-oriented. It’s made up of 508 pieces that make the Audi R26, a flat-bed race carrier and three mini-figs including Audi F1 driver with logo on helmet.

Lego describes the kit as such;
“Racing fans aged 7+ can enjoy epic motorsport action with the LEGO® City F1® Display Truck with Audi F1® Race Car (60493) set. WILL THERE BE OTHER KITS?
The BrickFanatics intel earlier in November suggested a different kit, including a different item number. Quite likely, LEGO will again offer the entire grid of 2026 F1 cars in its Speed Champions lineup, and #77259 was theorized to be a Speed Champions Audi F1 car.
Speed Champions is another child/play focused sort of kit, with Audi having offered a number of cars of this sort over the years. Previous kits have included the Audi Sport quattro S1 E2, R18 e-tron quattro, R8 LMS GT3 and S1 Hoonitron. A more detailed RS Q e-tron Technik kit has also been offered previously.

DOES THE KIT ART REVEAL ANYTHING ABOUT THE F1 DESIGN
The car in the shots appears to be the same paint scheme with no sponsors as the R26 concept. Audi’s focus on calling the car a concept may have simply to signal that the aerodynamics weren’t finalized, but given Audi continues to reveal even more partners in the last week, the likelihood of the R26 concept being the final design isn’t high. While the paint scheme may remain untouched when the car hits the grid, it most certainly will include partner logos in final form.
Few other details are really seen? The Audi logo on the front of the car curiously goes vertically rather than horizontally as it was on the actual R26 concept car. The wheel “turbo fan” graphic design is also different from the concept car.
Another notable difference is the name “Audi F1”. So far, the organization within Audi has been known as the Audi F1 Project, so calling it Audi F1 is in line with the name of the @AudiF1 Instagram account launched recently.
Curiously, the name “Audi Sport” doesn’t seem to adorn anything… at least not for now. Even the black and red “team truck” in this kit has no Audi logos. In addition to Audi Sport, black and red are also the colors of the F1 series. Only an “F1” logo is seen on the truck.
