F1 Monaco Grand Prix Secured Through 2035

For Audi racing fans eager to witness the brand’s first season on the Formula 1 grid next year, this news carries extra weight: the Monaco Grand Prix will remain a fixture on the F1 schedule through 2035 at the very least.

Formula 1 confirmed an extended agreement with the Automobile Club of Monaco that builds on the current deal set to expire in 2031. The new contract guarantees that the most glamorous, historic, and technically demanding street race in motorsport continues for another decade—long enough for Audi’s works team to write its own chapter on the narrow streets of Monte Carlo.

Since its debut in the inaugural 1950 Formula 1 World Championship, Monaco has defined come to define the blend of glamor and grand prix racing. Its 3.3 km circuit rewards concentration and punishes error, earning a reputation as the race where legends are made. Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Michael Schumacher, Niki Lauda, and Graham Hill all left their mark here. In the modern era, Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, and most recently hometown hero Charles Leclerc—who took a historic win in 2024—have all proven themselves against the barriers. Lando Norris added his name to the list this year, scoring his maiden victory in the Principality.

The Grand Prix’s prestige is not only about the racing. From the yachts of Port Hercule to the atmosphere of Casino Square, Monaco is Formula 1’s showcase to the world. The paddock has seen fresh investment in premium fan experiences, including MSC Cruises’ EXPLORA II docking in the heart of the harbor this year to host guests with prime views and exclusive events.

Formula 1 President Stefano Domenicali welcomed the extension: “The streets of Monaco have been echoing with the sound of Formula 1 since the earliest days of the sport. It is an iconic race loved by all drivers and fans, with a unique vibe thanks to its location in the world’s most glamorous Principality.”

For the Principality itself, the deal underscores the long-standing cultural bond. His Serene Highness, Prince Albert II of Monaco, noted that the renewal “is in keeping with a sporting and historical tradition to which the Principality remains deeply attached.” Michel Boeri, President of the Automobile Club of Monaco, praised the continued collaboration, calling it “a reflection of the strong and enduring relationship between Formula 1 and the Principality.”

For Audi, the confirmation matters. When the four rings line up in Formula 1 starting in 2026, Monaco will remain on the schedule as one of the crown jewels to conquer. For fans of the brand, the idea of seeing Audi power chase glory through the tight swimming pool section or climbing the hill toward Casino Square is no longer speculation—it’s part of the long-term story of the sport.

It’s also a part of the brand’s rich history, harking an era when the mid-engine Auto Union grand prix cars designed by Ferdinand Porsche slid sideways around corners as their V16 engines echoed off the nearby buildings.

The race that started in 1929 will now extend deep into the 2030s. And when Audi makes its long-awaited debut, the streets of Monte Carlo will be waiting.
