Reimagining Audi Clarity: Independent Designer Experiments with New Brand Design Language

Audi’s recently unveiled Concept C has stirred plenty of discussion throughout the car industry and its aficionados. For some, it’s a refreshing reset—drawing on everything from the original TT to other past icons like the Avus and Rosemeyer concepts. For others, it’s a paradigm shift where the jury may still be out. What can’t be denied is that this new design language will shape Audi’s lineup in the years ahead. And while Ingolstadt’s designers focus on production reality, independent rendering artist Luca Serafini (@lsdesignrl on Instagram) has been busy imagining what those future Audi offerings might look like.

Serafini’s most talked-about effort is an SUV styled with Concept C cues. The look translates better than you might think—slim LED headlamps, a larger and more traditional take on the concept’s vertical square grille, and strong horizontal surfacing give the SUV a leaner, more athletic profile. Even the coupe-inspired wheels and matte finish from the Concept C seem to translate well to this larger format. Where current Audi SUVs lean toward conservative sophistication, this one feels almost rebellious—an SUV with refined clean that comes off as both fresh and more aggressive than the more predictable current designs.

Beyond that, Serafini applied the new design language to a small hatch in the spirit of the Audi A2. Here, the crisp surfacing and sharp graphics lend the compact a futuristic edge. It’s easy to imagine such a car as an EV designed for urban life, one that recaptures the spirit of Audi’s early 2000s aluminum space frame original.

In another rendering, the look extends to a rally-inspired coupe—a sort of modern interpretation of Ingolstadt’s rally era that embraces both the all-popular SUV stance while leaning into the brand’s legendary ur quattro rally cars. Wide track, tall suspension, and Concept C surfacing suggest something that could bridge the themes from Dakar rally raid winner to Audi’s own activesphere concept.

Perhaps most interesting, though, is Serafini’s take on an executive-class A8. While Audi hasn’t confirmed anything beyond the production sports car derived from Concept C, whispers in the industry suggest the next flagship sedan could be first in line to adopt the look. The rendering makes a convincing case—where BMW doubles down on aggression and Mercedes emphasizes aerodynamic flow, Serafini’s Concept C-inspired A8 stands out as confident, understated, and distinctly Audi. It’s a boardroom sedan that nods to the 1990s/2000s period of Audi Tradition’s heritage fleet while planting both feet in the future.

Interestingly, Serafini’s experiments with Audi’s new design don’t end there. In just two posts so far, he’s shared these images along with a semi tractor truck, a motorcycle and even a speed boat. At this time of writing, he’s made just two carousels of Audi images so far, which makes one wonder if there’s more to come. Should you wish to follow him, you can find him on Instagram and also on Behance where his ls-design.it web address points.

Love it or not yet won over just yet, Concept C is already shaping conversations about where Audi goes next. By extending these design cues across a spectrum of vehicles, Serafini shows just how adaptable the language might be—from SUVs to compacts, rally cars to executive sedans. For now, it’s all digital speculation, but if Audi delivers even part of this vision, the next decade could mark one of the most adventurous eras yet for the four rings.
