While Audi of America is remaining cagey on Avant news simply because the A6 Avant in its strictest sense won’t come to America (even though the A6 allroad and RS 6 Avant are expected at this time), there’s no question that the A6 sedan is bound for North American sale. In as much, Audi of America has been immediately forthcoming on American market details for the C9 Audi A6 Sedan.

There Will Be Differences
As is typical of North American product offerings, the U.S. market (and subsequently the Canadian market that is paired with it) will see some differences. Most notably, the A6 Sedan will come only with a 3.0-liter TFSI turbocharged V6 and no MHEV hardware as is seen with this engine in Europe. That engine will be rated at 362 hp and be paired with the 7-speed S tronic Dual Clutch (DSG) transmission.
Wheel offerings mark an interesting change. Sizes will range from 19-inch to 21 inch, with 19 and 20-inch offerings wearing all-season run-flat tires while optional 21-inch wheels will be fitted with summer tires.
Finally, U.S. regulations mean that matrix LED headlight functionality car=to-X communication and active digital light signatures will not be available as they are in Europe as of this writing.
