ABT Sportsline with Updated Audi RS Q8 Legacy Edition

Given Audi recently updated its RS Q8 product range, it was only a matter of time before ABT Sportsline turned their attention towards an updated take of their own. This is that car, the ABT RS Q8 Legacy Edition (a.k.a. RS Q8-LE).

Legacy Edition is the moniker the Kempten, Germany-based firm has been focused upon as it makes moves to upgrade Audi’s best RS models. This began with the RS 6-LE and RS 7-LE launched in 2023. It also follows previous takes based on the earlier evolution of the RS Q8, including their RS Q8-S, RS Q8-R and RS Q8 Signature Edition.

The silver example you see in these photos is actually a design study, though built to represent the final product. The actual presentation of the RS Q8-LE is set to take place on March20 during the firm’s planned “Friends of ABT” event.

To build an RS Q8-LE, ABT Sportsline begins with an RS Q8 performance as the foundation. To that they add their Power R performance upgrade, boosting power to 760 hp and 980 Nm of torque. A stainless steel performance exhaust with signature quad tailpipes adds further performance, visual and audible enhancement.

For the chassis, the firm adds their ABT Level Control (ALC) electronic air suspension, continuously variable adaptive damping system and their electronic roll stabilization system (eAWS) for added stability, agility and performance.

On the outside, the RS Q8-LE is set apart by the installation of the brand’s aerodynamic kit in matte carbon fiber. More signature to the Legacy Edition models are the prominent hood vent inserts, though it also includes a front lip with “RS Q8-LE” badging, mirror caps, fender extensions and front skirt add-ons with more aggressive air intake grilles. Moving further around the car, there are door strip attachments, a rear skirt insert with “RS Q8-LE” emblem, rear kirt attachments and rear wing with ABT Aeroblades. ABT’s usual front quarter panel vent is also there, here including a “1 of 125” to further emphasize the limited nature of the Legacy Edition.

The RS Q8-LE rolls on 23-inch Legacy Edition flow form wheels in gloss black with 295 35 R23 tires.

Inside, the interior receives carbon fiber elements, including shift paddles, dashboard trim, gear knob and seat frame covers. A tailored steering wheel features Alcantara and the ABT logo on the 6 o’clock spoke. Further branding and model lettering can be found on the seats, floor mats, trunk mat and door sills, not to mention the ABT start-stop button.

Like other ABT limited editions, it’s expected the RS Q8-LE will come to America, though no pricing or availability has been released just yet. In the meantime, ABT Germany shared that the treatment will be priced at $95,900 (including VAT, excluding installation and TÜV approval).
