H&R Germany has introduced a new set of lowering springs for the latest Audi SQ5, including the Sportback variant. The kit is developed specifically for SQ5 models equipped with the factory S line sport suspension, targeting drivers who want a lower ride height and sharper on-road response without moving away from the stock damper setup.
According to H&R, the springs lower the SQ5 by 45 mm at both the front and rear. The reduced ride height is intended to lower the vehicle’s center of gravity, which can contribute to more direct steering feedback and improved body control during cornering. As with most H&R applications, the goal is to balance a more planted stance with everyday drivability.

Visually, the drop results in a tighter wheel-to-arch gap, giving the SQ5 a more aggressively sporting appearance. The change is particularly noticeable on the Sportback, where the lower stance emphasizes the coupe-like roofline and broader shoulders.
The springs are designed for 2025 model year and newer SQ5 vehicles built on the GY (FY) platform (according to H&R, we also know this platform as type GU) and fitted with quattro all-wheel drive. H&R specifies compatibility only with models already equipped with the S line sport suspension from the factory.
