Willow Springs Reimagined: Audi Icons Return to Track for New Era of California Car Culture

Willow Springs International Raceway—America’s oldest permanent road course—is kicking off a new era this weekend as it hosts Willow Springs Reimagined on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sold-out event marks the first large-scale public gathering at the storied Rosamond, California circuit since its acquisition by CrossHarbor Capital Partners and Singer Vehicle Design earlier this year. Their mission: to fuse motorsport history, design, and next-generation car culture under one open desert sky.

AUDI HERITAGE ON DISPLAY

Among the standout features for Audi enthusiasts will be two quattro legends that recently departed the Petersen Automotive Museum: Ken Block’s “Turbo Monster” Sport quattro replica and DirtFish’s Audi Sport quattro S1 E2 Group B rally car. Both cars represent the era of the Audi brand’s rally dominance and enduring design language. Block’s white Sport quattro tribute will headline a special 43 Institute display honoring his legacy, alongside icons like the Hoonicorn RTR V2 and Gymkhana ONE Subaru WRX STi.

Meanwhile, DirtFish Rally School is bringing an enviable lineup of rally royalty, from the Audi S1 E2 to the Lancia 037Lancia Delta S4, and Peugeot 205 T16, offering fans a visceral connection to the sport’s fire-breathing Group B era. For Audi fans, it’s likely the final moment for a while to see these two quattro heroes—both steeped in performance folklore—sharing California asphalt once again.

THE BROADER WILLOW SPRINGS EXPERIENCE

Beyond the rally legends, Willow Springs Reimagined promises an expansive cross-section of car culture. SingerCzingerB-Sedan Racing, and The Petersen Automotive Museum will take to Big Willow for on-track demonstrations. Czinger will also showcase its 21C hypercar, which famously set a 1:19.73 production car lap record at the same circuit. The Hoonigan crew will light up the tarmac with Micah Diaz drifting his Pro-Spec E46, joined by the outrageous Hoonipigasus Porsche.

In the paddock, attendees will find a curated car show of content creator builds, luxury exotics, and never-before-seen combinations of race and design icons. Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire will preside over a “Parking Lot Concours,” picking one standout from general admission to honor on stage. Jarod DeAnda, the voice of Formula Drift, will emcee the day’s proceedings.

COMMUNITY, CAUSE & CULTURE

Complementing the action, the event integrates car culture with community impact. Portions of ticket proceeds benefit the East Kern Family Resource Center and Lost Angels Career Center, and the latter will also collaborate on exclusive event merchandise alongside The Drivers Era. Fans can enjoy food trucks, live music, vendors, and even P1 racing simulators offering free virtual laps of Big Willow.

REBIRTH OF AMERICAN MOTORSPORT SPIRIT

For the new ownership group, this event marks a cultural reboot. With Singer’s craftsmanship ethos meeting CrossHarbor’s investment vision, Willow Springs aims to establish itself as a West Coast nexus for authentic motorsport engagement. The return of Audi’s rally icons—both historic and reimagined—underscores the event’s purpose: celebrating across a spectrum of historic and reimagined.

Audi aficionados, especially those who appreciate the of five-cylinder turbo era, will find this weekend’s spectacle especially compelling. The quattros may be museum-grade legends, but at Willow Springs Reimagined, they’ll once again belong to the tarmac… at least before they depart California for their homes in Utah and Washington.
