Audi of America has officially confirmed pricing, specifications, and key details for the ninth-generation 2026 Audi A6, marking a major step forward for one of the brand’s most important sedans in the U.S. lineup. Slated to arrive in dealerships by late 2025, the new A6 promises more performance, quieter refinement, and enhanced technology while staying true to the Audi DNA of balancing sportiness with everyday usability.
MORE POWER QUICKER ACCELERATION
At the heart of the new A6 is a revised 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission and standard quattro all-wheel drive. The powerplant delivers 362 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, increases of 27 hp and 37 lb-ft over the previous generation. As a result, 0–60 mph comes in just 4.5 seconds—six-tenths quicker than before—while top speed remains electronically limited to 130 mph.
Audi engineers also placed significant emphasis on reducing NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). Optimized engine and transmission mounts, revised gear tooth shaping, and foam-lined tires collectively make the new A6 up to 30% quieter inside compared to its predecessor.

PERFORMANCE OPTIONS ONCE RESERVED FOR THE S6
For the first time, the standard A6 gains access to performance equipment previously exclusive to S models. Prestige trims now include adaptive air suspension as standard, while a new Sport plus package adds all-wheel steering, a sport rear differential, and a lower-riding steel sport suspension. The package also includes 21-inch performance wheels, red brake calipers, and upgraded sport seats with massage function, blending luxury with sharper handling.
SOPHISTICATED EXTERIOR EXPANDED COLOR PALETTE
Audi’s design team emphasizes elegance with a broad-shouldered stance and clean surfacing, punctuated by a low-positioned Singleframe grille and sleek lighting graphics. Buyers can choose from 11 exterior colors, including a new Midnight Green, with Ascari Blue and Daytona Gray reserved for S line Black Optic models. Wheels range from standard 19-inch alloys to 21-inch Multispoke-twist designs.
The S line black optic package, available on Premium Plus and Prestige, injects further dynamism with gloss black trim, anthracite gray rings, and aggressive bumpers.

A HIGH-TECH HUMAN CENTRIC INTERIOR
Inside, the A6 features Audi’s digital stage centered around a curved OLED display system. The cluster includes an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and a 14.5-inch MMI touch display, complemented by a 10.9-inch passenger screen on Prestige trims. A new configurable head-up display debuts, allowing drivers to control vehicle functions directly through projected menus.
Comfort upgrades include a new panoramic “digital curtain” glass roof, four-zone climate control (Premium Plus and above), soft-close doors (Prestige), and the Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound System. Prestige buyers get headrest-integrated speakers for a truly immersive audio experience.

LUXURY & EXCLUSIVITY
For those seeking standout personalization, Audi now offers an Audi exclusive design package. This includes bold Baikal Blue and Neodymium Gold interior treatments with Dinamica micro-suede and unique wood inlays. Combined with ventilated and massaging sport seats, the package positions the A6 firmly in the luxury tier.
SAFETY & DRIVER ASSISTANCE
The 2026 A6 comes standard with a full suite of driver-assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, side assist, rear cross-traffic assist, and emergency braking. Premium Plus and Prestige models gain Park Assist Plus, Adaptive Cruise Assist, and a top-view camera system.
