Monterey Auction Results, S1 E2 > $1.7M, Sport quattro > $640K

Another Monterey Car Week is in the books. The enthusiasts have gone home. The take overs have taken off (thankfully for everyone who understands the hope to keep cars in Monterey Car Week). Among the many events that make up this week-long celebration of the automobile, auctions are held by all the major brands. Among them, there were two prominent Audis in the mix. Given that, it’s worth circling back to see how they did.

Though both Sport quattros and both highly unique, they’re not really comparable when it comes to price expectations. The S1 E2 is an actual Group B rally car built by Audi Sport, while the other is one of the Bauer-built homologation road car… albeit one with Beddor family provenance and some Audi Sport parts.
