Audi Club North America, the largest Audi owner club of its kind in the world much less its own region of North America, has announced their latest fundraising sweepstakes and the grand prize is the always fun 5-cylinder Audi RS 3 sedan.
THE BACKSTORY
Depending on who you ask, Audi Club North America traces its roots back to 1984 – then the height of the era when the ur quattro was being sold new here int eh U.S.A. and Audi Sport was racing the car in the World Rally Championship (WRC). Club founder Frank Beddor purchased a few Group B homologated Sport quattro models directly from Audi in Germany, shipped them home and began helping fire up the passion for Audi in America from that point forward.
Over the years, a tradition at Audi Club has been to give away a new Audi as part of their fundraising efforts. It’s become a rich tradition that helps drive membership and awareness of the club whose mission it is to educate drivers, while also placing one lucky winner in a pretty great car. This year, that focus is the just-updated RS 3 with support from XPEL.
WHY YOU SHOULD ENTER
I know what you’re thinking. These sweepstakes have become more and more common over the years. Social media influencers give away cars all the time – the crazier the better as is the eyebrow raising nature of influencers. At the end of the day though, those cars benefit individuals and their for profit companies. In the case of Audi Club North America, the benefit is the Audi enthusiast community as assured by their structure – managed by a Board of Directors voted on by membership, and with a fiduciary duty to operate in the interest of the organization that serves the membership and thus community as a whole.
In short, it’s a great cause if you’re an Audi enthusiast.
