Audi has rolled out the next evolution of its two-wheel electric mobility lineup with the launch of the Audi eMTB 2.0 powered by Fantic. Building on the success of the original, this second-generation enduro-style pedal-assist mountain bike arrives with upgraded hardware, fresh Dakar-inspired looks, and a surprising price cut.
PERFORMANCE MEETS PEDIGREE
Developed in collaboration with Italian motorcycle and e-bike maker Fantic, the Audi eMTB 2.0 is based on the company’s XEF 1.9 Factory enduro e-bike. Audi’s version keeps the lightweight aluminum frame geometry designed for relaxed, agile control but adds new high-spec components. A SRAM GX Eagle Transmission AXS electronic rear derailleur works across a 12-speed XX SL Eagle 10-52T cassette, while braking power is now handled by Sunstar F.I.R.S.T. calipers paired with larger 220/203mm EPTA STAGE rotors.
Suspension upgrades carry over the pedigree Audi enthusiasts expect. A coil-sprung Öhlins TTX22m.2 rear shock and an air-sprung Öhlins RXF38 m.2 fork provide 180mm of fully adjustable travel, giving this bike the chops for everything from singletrack touring to aggressive downhill riding.

POWER & RANGE
At the core is a 720-Wh lithium-ion battery, integrated seamlessly within the frame, powering a Brose S-MAG 250-watt motor with up to 90 Nm of torque. Riders can select from four assist modes — Eco, Tour, Sport, and Boost — topping out at 20 mph of pedal-assisted speed. Depending on conditions, range spans from 12 miles (20 km) in Boost to around 90 miles (150 km) in Eco.
A compact digital handlebar display gives real-time readouts for speed, assist level, and battery status. Audi’s attention to detail includes a low-battery alert that flashes when charge dips below 10%.

INSPIRED BY DAKAR
Audi didn’t miss the chance to tie this e-bike to its motorsport heritage. The limited-edition livery of the eMTB 2.0 takes direct inspiration from the RS Q e-tron that conquered the Dakar Rally, linking the brand’s cutting-edge off-road racing tech with a consumer product designed for rugged trails.
PRICE & AVAILABILITY
Perhaps the biggest surprise: despite upgraded hardware, Audi has priced the new bike lower than before. The MSRP is $5,850 (before taxes), with deliveries beginning September 2025 through Audi Genuine Accessories.
To round things out, Audi also offers branded riding gear, bottles, and compatible bike racks, reinforcing the eMTB 2.0’s role as more than just an accessory — but as part of the broader Audi lifestyle collection.
