H&R has introduced its first suspension upgrades for the new B10-generation Audi RS 5, offering both height-adjustable and fixed lowering springs for Audi’s new performance model.
Available for both the RS 5 Sedan and RS 5 Avant, the new spring packages retain the factory dampers and their electronic control functions. That makes them a relatively straightforward option for owners looking to reduce ride height without replacing the RS 5’s complete suspension system.
H&R’s height-adjustable spring package offers the greatest flexibility, lowering the front of the RS 5 between approximately 25 and 35 mm. At the rear, adjustment extends from approximately 25 to 40 mm.
The company is also offering conventional lowering springs with a predetermined ride height. On the RS 5 Sedan, these reduce ride height by approximately 25 mm at the front and 30 mm at the rear. The RS 5 Avant receives the same 25-mm front reduction but sits approximately 35 mm lower at the rear.
Beyond reducing the visual gap between the tires and wheel arches, H&R says both spring options provide more direct steering response and reduce body roll while retaining the functionality of Audi’s standard electronically controlled dampers.
H&R is also offering its Trak+ wheel spacers for the RS 5, allowing the wheels to be positioned farther outward relative to the fenders. Manufactured from high-strength aluminum and available with either silver or black anodized finishes, the spacers start at 8 mm per wheel.
All of the modifications are reversible, allowing the RS 5 to be returned to its original suspension and wheel configuration if required.
The new components fit the Type FU B10 Audi RS 5 with its 2.9-liter V6 plug-in hybrid quattro powertrain. H&R’s height-adjustable spring kit carries part number 23041-1, while fixed lowering springs are listed as 28495-1 for the Sedan and 28495-2 for the Avant.
The suspension components are available now and are manufactured in Germany with German type-approval certification.
