Audi Sport Update, Customer Racing: Week 3, 2026

Audi Sport customer racing campaigns continue in the 2026 season, and this website aims to stay abreast of what’s going on. This time of year, it’s mainly about pre-season announcements with a few races beginning to take place such as this weekend’s 24 Hours of Dubai.

Below is a rundown of what’s going on at the moment. Find the ooooIYKYK motorsport calendar HERE. This calendar is a work in progress with events being added once commitments to series by Audi teams has been finalized and made public.


SRO GT AMERICA (GT3) PRE-SEASON, ANNOUNCEMENT 

SKI Autosports returns to SRO GT America this season, confirming plans to contest the 2026 championship with a full-season effort including veteran driver Memo Gidley at the wheel of their Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II with updated livery including what appears to be aligned with Audi F1 colors for 2026.

SKI has been a dominant player in this series with Audi, netting the 2023 championship in the Masters Class, the 2024 championship overall, and finally exhibiting strong performance in 2025 with Gidley.

“I always tell my four-year-old daughter Emmie, the teamwork makes the dream work – I am so lucky and thankful to be with an awesome team and now my great friends at SKI Autosports. I cannot wait to see what we can do in 2026 in our awesome #56 Audi R8,” Gidley said.

GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE (GT3) PRE-SEASON, ANNOUNCEMENT 

Tresor Competition has announced the signing of Andrea Frassineti for the 2026 season. The Italian will pilot the Tresor R8 LMS Evo II in both the GT World Challenge Europe in both Sprint and Endurance rounds, as well as the Italian Gran Turismo Championship in both Sprint and Endurance rounds.

24H SERIES (GT3) 24H OF DUBAI 

Several Audi teams will contest the 24 Hours of Dubai set to be held January 16-18, 2026. These include the Haas RT #21 Audi R8 LMS Evo II (GT3), the Sainteloc Junior Team #18 Audi R8 LMS Evo II (GT3 Pro/Am), Haas RT #2 Audi R8 LMS Evo II (GT3-Am) and Continental Racing #69 Audi R8 LMS Evo II (GT3-Am).

As part of the race week, Audi Dubai will host Audi Sport Week from January 12-18 where the brand will take over Cars Café to operate as the Audi Sport Hub for the week. On January 13 this includes the reveal of the Haas RT x Audi Al Nabooda R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, and the Michelin 24 Hours of Dubai from January 17-18.


IMSA MICHELIN PILOT CHALLENGE (TCR) PRE-SEASON, ANNOUNCEMENT 

Another North American Audi Sport customer racing team returning for 2026 is Baker Racing. The Canadian squad confirmed a return to the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with their pair of Audi RS 3 LMS TCR entries. James Vance and Sam Baker will participate in a full season campaign in the #52 Audi RS 3, while Dean Baker (Sam’s father) will share the #56 Audi RS 3 with either Bruno Jnuqueira or Kenny Riedmann on a rotation. Riedmann steps up from a position in the crew, though 2026 will mark his first season as a driver in the series. He will debut at the opening round at Daytona International Speedway.


TCR UK (TCR) PRE-SEASON, ANNOUNCEMENT 

Barry-John McHenry will make his TCR UK series debut at the wheel of the the Vannin Motorsport Audi RS 3 TCR. “I’ve spent the last few years working closely with and supporting other drivers, so I’m really looking forward to getting back in the car myself,” said McHenry. “Joining TCR UK is a great opportunity, and I’m excited to get racing again.”
